Novus Aviation Capital has successfully closed the purchase and
leaseback for two additional brand-new Boeing B777-300ERs with Emirates Airline
(MSN 42351 and 42353). The two aircraft were delivered to Emirates in August
and November 2017, respectively, and will be on long-term leases. This
supplements Novus’ existing B777 and A380 portfolio of financed and leased
aircraft to Emirates. Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER delivered in November is the
airline’s first aircraft to feature its latest cabin interiors, including the
new First Class suite.
Nirmal Govindadas, Senior Vice-President – Corporate Treasury
for Emirates, said: “Emirates’ ongoing innovation investments to enhance the
customer experience has helped us maintain a competitive edge in the industry
setting benchmarks not only for premium travel but across all classes. Our
latest 777 cabin interiors, including the game changing new First Class suite
is a real milestone for Emirates, and we are pleased that the aircraft was
financed by Novus. As a key lessor partner, Novus’ continued support in
providing financing solutions demonstrates their confidence in our financial
strength and solid track record of business performance.”
“This is another key milestone in our strong working cooperation
with Emirates. Completing the financing and leasing of deals representing
multiple billions of US dollars to a single customer over the last decade,
despite industry shocks and challenges, is a feat we are proud of, and we will
continue extending the same level of commitment to our airline customers,” said
Hani Kuzbari, Managing Director at Novus. “The latest aircraft delivery is also
special as it features the new First Class suite and was displayed at the Dubai
Airshow,” he added.
Novus has a portfolio of around USD 4 billion comprising close
to 50 aircraft including both single and twin-aisle aircraft operated by
airlines in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
